Shannon Harvey of Place Bulimba is hosting the 5th annual Champagne Campaign, a networking event that promotes and supports women in business. In the lead up to International Women’s Day, the event will be held on the 3rd of March at the Place Bulimba office on Oxford Street. It will run from 6.00pm to 7.30pm with bubbles and canapes upon arrival. The evening is a celebration of local women in business and an opportunity to learn from one another, share experiences and make professional connections.
Shannon puts great emphasis on supporting local business and is a true believer in encouraging women who want to excel within their chosen industries. Shannon has succeeded in a notoriously competitive industry, receiving 10 nominations for REIQ Salesperson of the Year and being voted the number one agent in her core areas for 2020. Her charity work is equally impressive, organising and hosting the Bulimba Fashion Festival for the past 11 years, a fundraiser that supports charities including Mates for Mates, AEIOU and Mummy’s Wish. Some of the other businesses and charities that Shannon has supported over the past year include Bulimba State School P & C Association, the Annual Southside Swimming Club and the Australian Liver Foundation.
Female business owners who will speak on the night include Stylist Kate Taylor, Dawn Powell from Designing Interiors and Maddy Howard from Proper Copy. Kate specialises in high end residential interior and landscape styling, with over 16 years of industry experience. Dawn is the director of Designing Interiors and started the company in 2016, turning her lifelong passion for property into her dream career. Maddy merged her experience in sales with her love for the written word to create Proper Copy, a copywriting business that specialises in real estate-related text. All three of these women are at different stages of their careers, but each have an inspiring message to share.
Shannon’s vision for the function is to empower women who wish to learn and grow in their professions while supporting each other in the process. Endorsing her mantra ‘Living Local, Selling Local, Supporting Local’, Shannon has elected to have the function catered by Morningside restaurant Sarmic and will provide locally sourced gifts to those in attendance. The evening will be informative, motivating and a whole lot of fun! Secure your spot amongst this group of like-minded business babes at the link below.
